Services for CWO4 Verl Dane Lantz of Copperas Cove, TX will be held at a later date in Robstown, TX at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Lantz passed away at home on November 22, 2016.

Verl was born in Richmond, Indiana on January 6, 1939. After graduating from High School, he joined the Army and served his country for 25 years, earning the Bronze Star Medal, National Defense Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was fondly referred to as "Chief".

Verl happily and successfully, endeavored to persevere throughout his life and into his retirement years while energizing those around him. His passions were bowling, hunting and fishing.

Verl was a wonderful husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and paw-paw.

He was a blessing to us all and will be truly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Mildred "Millie" Lantz; 2 sons, Verl D. Lantz, Jr. wife Debbie and daughter, Amber; Charles A. Lantz, wife Sharon and son, Phillip; daughter, June Marie DuBois and husband Mark E. DuBois; sister, Sandra Mills and brother-in-law Glen Mills; brother, Rick Cline and sister-in-law Linda; numerous nieces and nephews!
